Shipping by Air
ALL shippers are required to provide two forms of ID upon tendering cargo for export; At least one government issued picture ID is required

ALL shippers are required to provide receipt of purchase, and/or total value of shipment at the point of shipment drop off
ALL shippers are required to provide full information including full names, address, email address, phone numbers and passport numbers of both shipper and consignee before shipment is sent. Please note that we reserve the right to stop shipment of any cargo without adequate information.
ALL Shipments tendered during festive season and high traffic season are subject to delay. Please note that MSI Shipping and courier is not directly responsible for flight schedules and cargo loads; cargo and flights can be rearranged without prior notice by the airline carriers.
ALL Cargo tendered are subject to inspection. Please note that all cargo will be opened for inspections so do not lock up luggages when tendering for export.
MSI Shipping and courier will not be liable for any loss or Damages caused by our Third party carriers
MSI Shipping and courier will not be liable for loss or damages to uninsured merchandise or cargo tendered for shipment. We can provide extra insurance for your package if you’d like. The maximum compensation MSI will pay on a lost or damaged cargo is equivalent to $500.00 of shipment recorded weight and receipt value and claims must be filed no later than 1 day from original delivery or consignment collection date and complaint must be recorded with MSI Shipping personnel or its affiliate at the time of collection for any claims to be considered valid and true. Otherwise it will be deemed null and void. And we will not be responsible for items that has been collected intact from MSI and later considered otherwise by the receiver/consignee. We are not responsible for what happens to your goods and packages after it leaves MSI or its affiliate possesion/pemisses. Please ensure that your consinee inspect and check goods/cargo before accepting it from MSI or our affiliate and complaints/claims must be documented on the spot or our U.S hotline 2106779217 must be called immediately to record complaints and claims. This will ensure porper remedies and action to be taken to resolve the issue without delays.
In the case of a custom seizure, MSI Shipping and courier will file a petition and follow through the release process. Please not that this process may take as long as 90 days or more days and MSI will not be responsible for shipment replacement of physical compensation of any sort.
MSI shipping and courier takes it shipment cut off days very serious; so shipments received after cut off dates are not guaranteed to make the flight or connection. MSI shipping and courier will not be liable for the delays.
MSI shipping and courier is not an express cargo company and will not liable for minor delays affecting customer deadlines. We do advise that very time sensitive shipments not be sent through us.
MSI shipping and courier will not be liable for custom seizure due to wrong documentation provided by the customer MSI shipping and courier reserves the right to pull any shipment for inadequate documentation and or report to the appropriate authorities if we have any suspicion over any particular shipment
MSI shipping and courier will not release any shipment at destination port, if full payment is not made. Please do not request for release until all payments are made as we will not oblige.
MSI shipping and courier reserves the right to refuse service to any client for improper behavior within our office premises, slander or any other activity perpetuated by a client, which will demean our good nature at MSI shipping and courier.
MSI shipping and courier inspects all shipments before tendering to the airline. MSI shipping also removes all items considered hazardous and repacks them. In the case of any missing items from these packages; MSI shipping is not responsible if package is not insured. Please do note that our warehouses are secured and fully monitored using CCTV and we guarantee that shipments will not be tampered with in any of our premises worldwide. However loses do occur in transit and so we cannot be held accountable except customer takes out an additional insurance policy of these items.
In the case of loss or damage; ALL customers are required to file a claim through their selected insurance options
In the event that a third party insurance was processed at the time items were shipped,
MSI Shipping will file claim with our insurance company. Claims take anywhere from 2 to 4 months to materialize. Upon receiving judgment from the insurance company; MSI shipping will credit the customer with the insurance payment. Please note that third party insurance only covers Port To Port and in the event your items get missing or damaged outside the airport or seaport, you cannot file any claims. MSI will not be responsible for any late responses as a result of a glitch in the system we will always ensure that our system is up and running and fully maintained but any delays as a result of online system mishap will not be compensated for.We strongly recommend shipping insurance, either thru MSI Shipping insurance company (5% of the item value) or thru your own private policy damage, lost, theft or mishandled cargo coverage. Damage, lost, theft and mishandled cargo can be very costly but please understand that MSI Shipping or its affiliate Carriers liability IS ONLY A MAXIMUM PAYMENT OF $500 PER SHIPPING RECEIPT OR TRANSACTION FOR AIR AND OCEAN SERVICES if receipts are provided during the time of shipping.
MSI Freight Systems or any of its affiliates will not be liable for customs seizure as a result of contraband shipments. We urge all customers to be aware of all import rules before exporting to their countries of choice.

MSI POLICIES AND PROCEDURE!
This Policy and procedure are governed by laws of the state of Texas and any arbitration sort against this policy and/or procedure must be done in the state of Texas and in Bexar county. By accepting to consolidate your shipment with us you have agreed to all policy and procedures below.
Shipping by Ocean
MSI Ocean Freight Systems and any of its affiliates will not be liable for delays originated by the Vessel line or ETS date shifts.
MSI Ocean Freight Systems or any of its affiliates will not be liable for delays in receiving Bill of Laden’s and Telex releases as a result of late payment on the part of the customer.
Full container charges are due on or before the Exact Time of Sail.
Containers will only be loaded and trucked upon receipt of 50% or more of the total container charge due.
All RORO /LCL/BREAK BULK shipments will be calculated using extreme dimensions. The Port reserves the right to correct any discrepancy with dimensions when cargo is turned in. Any extra bill will be charged to the customer
ALL RORO/LCL/BREAK BULK quotes given based on the dimensions provided by the client are subject to change by the port. In the event of a change in dimensions by the port, the customer is liable for any extra charges
ALL vehicles tendered for shipment must be drained of gasoline to about 1/4 of the original tank capacity
ALL vehicles tendered for shipment must be accompanied with either the original title, original certificate of origin plus original bill of sale.
MSI Ocean Freight Systems or any of its affiliates will not be liable for custom delays or custom seizure as a result of documents falsification and inadequate documents provided.
Storage charges will be charged to goods stored for over two weeks prior to shipment. A minimum of $13 per day/100kg will be charged to shippers account daily until shipment is loaded.
ALL consolidated shipment is subject to clearing terms as stipulated by MSI Ocean Freight Systems or any of its affiliates.
MSI Ocean Freight Systems or any of its affiliates will not be liable for customs seizure as a result of contraband shipments. We urge all customers to be aware of all import rules before exporting to their countries of choice.
ALL Bill of Laden documents will be processed upon receipt of complete payments from customers

We are also not able to directly influence a move or withdraw an already turned in container for the reasons stated above
In the event of rate increase by the steamship line; even after container is booked, or demurrage charges incurred as a result of roll over’s or vessel not sailing on time; MSI Ocean Freight Systems or any of its affiliates is not liable for any additional charges and this charges will be passed on to the customer if we cannot get it waived by the steam ship lines
Each Client is responsible for tracking their own container directly. However, In house tracking information will be provided by MSI Ocean Freight Systems or any of its affiliates or any of its affiliates and tracking assistance will be provided in case a client is having difficulty tracking.
Delays in clearing may occur at destination ports for any reason, MSI ocean freight system will work tirelessly to see that all shipments are cleared but will not be liable for any dames or demmurage caused by delay or custom seizure or any seizures by any agencies at destination port
CTN (Container Tracking Notice) must be filed for every shipment going by ocean and the customer is responsible for all filing and service fees.
When consolidating for ocean freight we place cargo in available containers on a first come first serve basis and hence we do not guarantee and actual load time for your cargo.
FOR ALL SHIPMENTS
By giving us your shipment is it assumed that you have agreed with our policies and procesure. MSI shipping or its affiliates are not repsonsible to inform you of any or part of this policies and procedure for you to accept.
ALL shipment left over 30 days will be considered abandoned and will be diposed to reduce the N1000.00 per day storage fees. Any customer that will pick up goods not claimed must pay N1000.00 for each day the items were in storage their are not exceptions to this policy. ALL clearing payment must be made and received 7 days before shipment arrival to destination port. Failure to meet requirement of 7 days advance payment will attract a N20,000.00 demurrage payment for each day after the 3rd day that the vessel arrived destination. Agent CAN NOT CLEAR WITHOUT MONEY and if your money delays the clearing you will be responsible for all demurage payment NO EXCEPTIONs OR FORGIVENESS to this policy.
ALL shipping payments must be received 7 days before vessel arrival to destination. Any unclaimed shipment will be transported to storage and the owner will be responsible for the transportation cost and storage fees not less than N7,500.00 for the first 1-3 boxes for the first 1-3 days. All this policies are put in place for your own protection and safety of all customer goods.

Clearing Policy
MSI Ocean Freight Systems and its subsidiary offices overseas are NOT clearing agents, I.E we do not participate in the physical clearing of the shipments. Hence we do not control pricing, timing and offloading. We contract clearing to agents. However we monitor and liaise with our clients for better customer service and loss prevention. By giving us your cargo to ship as a consolidation you have agreed that we can consign your cargo to any clearing agent of our choice and you will abide by the rules for pricing, payment schedule and pick up schedules giving to you. Our agents require full clearing payments upfront and paid into designated bank accounts no later than 72hours after you have been contacted. If our agents proceed to clear shipment with their own funds as a result of lack of payment from you; you have agreed to payment an additional 20,000 naira or $120 a day surcharge for late payment from the date of clearing..
In the event that any item is removed from your shipment at the port; either by examiners, customs, other agencies or even miscreants at the port. MSI Ocean Freight Systems will not be liable for any damages whatsoever and by allowing us consolidate your cargo you have agreed not to lay any claims or file any legal suit whatsoever against MSI Ocean Freight systems or any of its affiliates. In the event that their is a loss or stolen items after offloading, the customer/ receiver must notify MSI Shipping staff at the POINT of pickup if the items leave MSI premises we can not control what happens to your items in the hands of your relations/receiver. If items missing items or stolen items are noticed and reported to our staff, we will initiate a refund/ reimbursement process based on the following criteria: Maximum refund/ liability during loss to any shipment receipt is 20% or $500 whichever is lesser of receipted item received at the time the shipment was received in our U.S office. if no receipt is presented at the time of Pick-up in our U.S office, we will work with the customer to compensate them on the loss but compensation will not be more than 20% of claims or $300 whichever is lesser. No seperate payment or credit will be given for shipping charges all ready paid. Any money awarded will be inform of shipping credit that will be spread out over several shipping periods. The payment in this case will be shipping credits towards future shipment. We try our best to compensate our customers for their loss but we can not go out of business because we want to compensate any customer. Usually customers complain that the shipping cost is more than the items they are shipping but once an incident happen they claim the items shipped is worth thousands because of this and if items are not itemized and receipts confirmed we can only compensate customers for their loss up to our refund policy.
Full liability for missing items belong to the handling company from which your cargo was received and MSI Ocean freight systems will provide you with information to pursue your claim if need be.
MSI Ocean Freight systems and its affiliates are not responsible for transporting your cargo after clearing. If we move your cargo to any of our warehouses for security reasons, a fee will be charged and the customer will be responsible for those fees.
MSI Ocean Freight systems and its affiliates are not responsible for distribution ocean freight cargo. However we render this as a service to our clients at a price.
All Consolidations must be released with a cargo release document. ALL our customers are responsible for requesting and holding their documents especially in the event of claims. Please note that a signed release indicates your items are complete so please check before signing the cargo release as MSI Ocean Freight systems and its affiliates will not entertain ay claims after cargo has been released.
MSI Ocean Freight systems and its affiliates reserves the right to change clearing prices in the event that the agent underpriced its clearing fees and is not able to complete the job using available funds. By consolidating with us you have agreed that any extra clearing charge assigned to you will be paid in full before receiving cargo.
Distribution Policy
MSI Shipping and courier and its affiliates contract our distribution of shipments to 3rd party companies and hence we are subject to the policies and procedures of the 3rd party companies. The original sender or consignee are responsible for any itme we forward for them. We are forwarding your items for you at your request not as part of MSI shipping process. MSI Shipping and courier cannot be sued due to a delay or mishap by the 3rd party distribution and logistics companies. However we will do our best to process and protect our customers.
